How do I look after my LG Outdoor product?

In the support section of our website there is a ‘Care & Maintenance’ page. This page provides all the information you need to know on caring for your LG Outdoor product.

How do I/Can I clean my LG Outdoor product?

You can clean all LG Outdoor products, but please make sure you carefully read the care & maintenance sheet received with your product before cleaning. For more information on taking care of your product, please go to the ‘Care & Maintenance’ page in the support section of our website.

Should I cover my LG Outdoor product?

When not in use outdoors, if unable to store inside, it is advisable to cover all LG Outdoor product to protect from sun, wind, rain, frost, tree sap, bird droppings etc. LG Outdoor have a wide range of durable 'breathable' covers, visit the ‘Living Accessories’ page to browse covers for both furniture and barbecues.

It is NOT advisable to cover natural products (Wood, Rope, Ceramic furniture, etc) with a non-breathable fully waterproof plastic cover, as these covers can retain moisture under them causing a build up of mould.

Can I leave my LG Outdoor product out during winter?

We recommend that you bring your LG Outdoor product indoors during winter months, to prolong the life of your product. You can leave it outdoors if you wish but please make sure you cover your product with a protective 'breathable' cover.

Before storing your furniture ensure any moisture collected in frame tubes is drained out. In areas which are prone to heavy frost it is advisable to store stone furniture in a frost free environment.

Cushions should be stored or covered when not in use to protect them from rain, sunlight, dust etc.

Can I leave season-proof cushions outside?

Yes, season-proof cushions can be left outside all summer but should be brought inside for protection during longer periods when not in use, and in sustained periods of inclement weather. Please note scatter cushions sold with sets are not classed as eden season-proof cushions and therefore do not have the same weatherproof qualities.

What should I do if my cushions get wet?

Where the cushion cover is removable, we recommend separating the cover from the inner filling and letting it air dry.

Will living by the coast affect my LG Outdoor product?

Extra care should be taken especially in coastal areas where salt in the air can cause excessive corrosion. Under such conditions, regularly rinse any LG Outdoor product with clean fresh water as well as carrying out regular maintenance as described, and using a protective 'breathable' cover where possible.

My wood product is splitting. Is it faulty?

Splitting of any wood product may occur over time as the Hanoi Wood ages naturally. This is due to the usual weathering process that adds the distressed vintage appeal to the ‘brushed wood’ effect.

I’ve heard glass table tops are easily breakable. Is this true?

The most common cause of glass breaking is due to the parasol being left in the table in windy conditions. Please remove the parasol from the table when not in use to avoid table damage. Do not strike glass, lean on or place any heavy weight directly on the glass. Do not place extremely hot or cold items directly on the glass. Do not drag the table under any circumstances.

Can I leave my parasol up all the time?

Do not leave your parasol up when unattended, not in use, and especially in windy conditions. The most common cause of glass breaking on dining tables is due to the parasol being left in the table in windy conditions.

Can I leave my gazebo or sail shade up all the time?

Do not leave your gazebo up when unattended, not in use, and especially in windy conditions.

Sail shades are semi permanent structures only. The canopies should always be removed over the winter months and especially during windy or adverse weather conditions.

Can I use a parasol without a base?

We advise that you always use a base with your parasol. Whilst some of our tables come with a built in parasol support, this is not suitable to keep the parasol secure in the table.

What precautions should I take before using my LG Outdoor barbecue?

Before each use, whenever a gas cylinder is changed or if the barbecue is moved, you must check for gas leaks. Please follow these simple steps to check for gas leaks:

1. When assembling your barbecue and connecting the gas hose, always tighten with a spanner. Take care not to over tighten the joints

2. Turn on the gas cylinder

3. Turn all gas valves on the barbecue to the off position

4. Brush a soap solution (one part washing up liquid and one part water) to all gas connections. The presence of bubbles indicates a leak. Tighten or repair as necessary

What do I do if it looks like my weave is sagging?

All of our weave furniture is hand woven onto an aluminium frame. During the summer months, the sun reflecting through the glass may warm some woven table tops and appear to sag. This is not a manufacturing fault and is a natural appearance. Your weave will naturally adjust back to its original place.
