Marinating T-bone steaks in beer tenderises the meat and adds a rich, earthy flavour.
Ingredients:
- Four large T-bone steaks
- 170 ml of flat beer (you can also use lighter beers such as pale ales)
- 170 ml of bottled chilli sauce
- 3 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of sea salt
- ½ tablespoon of pepper
- ½ tablespoon of cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 5 grams of chopped fresh parsley (around 1 tablespoon)
- 1 brown onion (grated)
Step 1:
Combine the grated onion, beer, parsley, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chilli sauce, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper in a bowl.
Step 2:
Place the steaks down in a baking tray lined with foil and pour the mixture to marinade.
Step 3:
Cover the tray and place in fridge overnight (turn the steaks periodically).
Step 4:
Remove the steaks and sprinkle on both sides the sea salt and cracked black pepper
Step 5:
Heat your Grillstream to between 180 and 200 degrees
Step 6
Grill your steaks on the GS plates for around 6 minutes, then turn and grill the opposite side until achieving your preferred doneness (7 to 10 minutes for-medium rare).
